Urban Landscapes and other shapes.
Using special techniques such as HDR, different lenses and Panoramic shots.
I began my urban Journey in Barcelona and decided i would get some urban shots with a Gaudi twist as his architecture and influence is all over the city.
For the Panoramic shot i decided Leeds would be most suited as there are sky high buildings and it is a vibrant city to capture at night.
I had a couple of images that i had taken on a 3 month stay in New York city in 2008 so i used a sequence of those for a couple of urban HDR shots.

This was a sequence of 3 images taken from the roof of Park Guell in Barcelona, I wanted the HDR to look like a painting to reflect the artistic influence on the city.
A street in Barcelona, I was riding on top of a tour bus of which the shadow can be seen on the road. It was hard to capture the sequence of images whilst moving but i have created the effect of moving traffic and a sense of movement.
The view from the back of my hotel in Barcelona reflected a slum in a far eastern country but maintained an urban feel as they are stacked up tall like urban buildings.
I visited the Olympic stadium in Barcelona and felt that the concrete build and steps reflected an industrial urban enviroment. I took the images altering exposure so i could get the best effects with HDR.
Again taken in Barcelona from the road side, i collected the 3 images to later merge together to get the desired urban HDR effect.
Images from my visit to New York, Times Square i had 3 very similar shots so i merged together and got an interesting effect which resembled a busy, bright New york landscape.
I happened to have 2 images from my stay in New York that were similar in shape but not in exposure so i merged them together and it resulted in this distorted picture of the Statue of Liberty which is a very iconic Urban attraction.
Back in Leeds i captured these shots from a high building and used a tripod and a pano head to get the desired shot i later added a shaded filtered effect.
Panoramic shot of Leeds stitched together.
Using a fish eye lens i tried to capture the panoramic view from so high up looking down on Leeds.
Using a Cross lens i created a cross effect on all of the brightest lights in my scene overlooking Leeds.
